Professional musician and piano teacher.
Keyboards/Cello/Drums

I worked as a sign-writer for several years before becoming a professional musician. Began playing drums in my teens, began studying the piano in my mid twenties at the DIT College of Music Dublin.

Have worked and recorded with many of the best known bands, singers and songwriters in the country. I have also worked in the theatre and have been part of many studio recording sessions which include lots of television and radio jingles.

Released the album, “Legacy of a Quiet Man”, with singer Sinead Stone on the Seolta Records, label. The album is a collection of songs written by my late father, Dick Farrelly, who is best remembered for his song, “The Isle of Innisfree”. The song was originally made famous by Bing Crosby for whom it became a worldwide hit and the melody was chosen by film director, John Ford as the main theme of the film, “The Quiet Man”. The album was a best seller and was the subject of an RTE Television documentary. The CD is available at: www.amazon.co.uk, www.taramusic.com and iTunes.

I worked as musical director with the, Irish Children’s Theatre Company, composed the music for a stage production of, "The Land of Hearts Desire" by W.B. Yeats and taught keyboards at the V.E.C. ‘Rock School’ Ballyfermott. I am studying cello at the Dublin DIT Conservatory of Music, teach piano, administer my father's, music publishing, and among various gigs I play keyboards in a labour of love, Steely Dan tribute band, AJA.

"Legacy of a Quiet Man" CD - "These are the best versions of these songs I've ever heard" - Maxi (Presenter, RTE).
